He was mad.

She sat in his place.

Pour.

His cup of juice. All over her hair and clothes.

I jumped up.

He ran.

Now I was mad too.

It was chaos—a game of cat and mouse. She was crying in the middle.

Who would break the tension?

I caught myself: I’m the adult.

There is no danger.

Let’s deal with this calmly.

I helped her clean up, change clothes, and feel better.

We talked it through.

Later, when he was ready, we all talked together.

He’s a good boy. Just had a bad moment.

And he felt bad about what happened.

We talked about handling frustration—

• Using words.

• Getting help from adults.

It wasn’t perfect.

But we left the day on a better note.

Parenting is full of moments like this—messy, emotional, unpredictable.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about catching yourself and guiding with love.

Have you ever been there?
