I jumped up.
He ran.
Now I was mad too.
It was chaos—a game of cat and mouse. She was crying in the middle.
Who would break the tension?
I caught myself: I’m the adult.
There is no danger.
Let’s deal with this calmly.
I helped her clean up, change clothes, and feel better.
We talked it through.
Later, when he was ready, we all talked together.
He’s a good boy. Just had a bad moment.
And he felt bad about what happened.
We talked about handling frustration—
• Using words.
• Getting help from adults.
It wasn’t perfect.
But we left the day on a better note.
Parenting is full of moments like this—messy, emotional, unpredictable.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about catching yourself and guiding with love.
